This morning I laid witness to a friend’s – indelible – Facebook status. It’s apparently from the Upanishads, a “Hindu scripture that constitutes the core teachings of the Vedanta“.

Watch your thoughts; they become words.

Watch your words; they become actions.

Watch your actions; they become habits.

Watch your habits; they become character.

Watch your character; for it becomes your destiny.

I love it for its practicality and simplicity. In its logical dialectic lies its truth and wisdom.
